Great Northern Beans is an 1800 variety from North and South Dakota. In cuisine it is known for its use as baked bean and a soup beans. Great Northern Beans can have a semi-bush/vining habit and often do not need complex trellising. They are prolific and early producing. As with all dry beans, harvest when pods are yellow and dry on the vine.
